Today and Tomorrow

Book Review: Flag of our Fathers

This book was a good book. It reminded me of the day we fought for our country and we were on the erge of losing till our heroes came through and stood the flag up that represented our country and the country that we live in now. We are glad that this happen and we give thanks to all those men and women that fought for this country.

And mostly give thanks to our fathers for making this happen.One of the characters was Mike Strank. He was one of the characters that acutually held up the american flag. He devoted his life to see the american flag go up and he was proud to be there with his companions that was there to help him raise the flag. And till this day, they still walk the earth.

The men that raised the flag were Ira Hayes, Franklin Sousley, Jack Bradley, Harlon Block, Mike Strank, Rene Gagnon. These six brave men had courage, honor, and heart. They knew that if they raised that red, white, and blue flag they would become heroes and they did. That's how they are remembered for and will always be recognized for is our fathers.

Bullying:

Bullying is all around the world. Little boys and girls experience this encounter when they grow up in their life. The only way to stop bullying is to fight back. If you are a helpless person and you get bullied and there is nobody around to help you. The best thing you can do is fight back and show them who is the top dog in this town or in this country. If you were a bully that likes to pick on kids smaller than you, then I should tell you that you are pathetic. Bullying is not a right thing to do. It can hurt someones feelings or probably hurt there future. I think this whole bullying thing needs to stop and just care for each other and love each other till there isn't no more bullying!

2010 Homecoming:

This years spirit week is a blast! I am excited about everybody participating in spirit week, we are all having fun dressing out. I, myself, is having tremendous amounts of fun hanging out with friends and just having the time of our senoir year.

I'm disappointed about not having homecoming this weekend. I don't really know why that would not have it on the day after the game but on the other hand it's good because I don't have my clothing picked out for the dance and so that buys me time to go shopping. And so by the time the dance is here i will be ready to get my boogy on!!

I am pumped to see the Batesville Pioneers play against the Blytheville Chickasaws. I don't know if the pioneers will win the game easily but they have a chance because we are at home. It's going to be tough, we don't know what will happen but all we know is that we are going to beat the chickasaws!!

My Senior Year:

My senior year being in English 11 is going well for me. There is alot of things that I like in that class and most of it is doing class work. But the thing I dont like doing all the time is when we get homework and then get some more added onto it and then some class work and then more class work. It's alot but I can handle it and so I like English 11 and its going good so far.

Narrative:
My Time Pioneer that I have chosen is Han Han. This blogger/race car driver is an example of a pioneer, because he throbs to change things and telling everything that he does to everyone, by just blogging them to his blog. He has a great personality, and he shares it to everybody that reads his novels because he shows it in the novels that he makes and people that read his books actually touch there hearts. And so Han Han is a great example of a Time Pioneer.

Expository:
I would like to share the two careers I want to pursue in the future when i graduate from high school and college. My first career would be a math teacher. I like everything math has to bring I like numbers and I like to solve alot of things with numbers, equations, and functions. I love to help others that don't understand the concepts of mathematics. Second career I want to pursue is construction. It seems like a really hard job to do but only if you are mentally and physically capable of actually working with construction. I like to get my hands dirty and just working for my community and my country in building for what is needed here in the United States.

Persuasive:
People around the world should take care of everything because in the future this world will not be a better place if we do not clean up after ourselves, that would be by saying recylce all the time clean up after yourself take care of the rivers and oceans. Don't be throwing trash in waters that will make the environment bad to the public and all that other safe stuff.

Descriptive:
What i think about Antonia as Mother Earth is that she needs to be more lenient with the weather and just give us perfect days everyday so this earth can be as healthy as it is now.

Book Review: Crackback by John Coy

If you are in to football, than this is a good book to read. It's about a teenage boy that plays high school football. And he isnt smart but the only thing he is good at is football.

His friends and coaches want him to get bigger, faster, and stronger in order for him to be a great football player. And he thinks about taking steriods without anybody knowing that he is taking them.

But all he wants is to win conference and go to state and be the best team in football!
